Living on the road is exhilarating and freeing. However, it also means that you need to be as prepared as you can be. The road may bring joy, but it also brings uncertainty. It is better to have everything that is needed, than need something you don’t have.

In this article, we’ll talk about one important thing that needs to be brought in every RV adventure: the Instant Pot or pressure cooker.

Most RVs have a full-on kitchen already installed within. Some people may think that an instant pot may be superfluous. If you ask veteran campers though, they will tell you that the instant pot is a vital kitchen accessory.

The truth of the matter is that even with a kitchen, a stove, a microwave, and everything else you may need, cooking in an RV is not as easy as it seems. If it isn’t a Class A Motorhome, chances are that the premade floor plans limit the space.

What more if the motorhome isn’t a Class-A to C? What if it were just a trailer?

That is why the instant pot is a good thing to have. It’s small, it’s effective, and you can feed your family great meals with little effort.

If you’re on the fence about it, don’t worry. We’ll talk about how instant pots work and even provide you an easy recipe that can be prepared.

How Instant Pots Work

Most people already know how instant pots work. Many families have been using it for a good many years. Chances are, people know what instant pots can and can’t do.

Technology has come a long way these past years. The instant pot has come along with it. It has improved a lot since it was first invented.

The initial use of an instant pot is a pressure cooker. Using it’s airtight nature, it pressurizes the steam and cooks food in no time. With the steam, it also ensures that the food is moist.

New instant pots though are capable of so much more. For instance, it is possible to cook rice, prepare vegetables, and can even saute’. All of these and more are now possible with modern instant pots.

Newer instant pots have ten or more settings that can do a number of things for you. These are entirely dependent though on the type and model of the instant pot bought. Despite what instant pot is bought though, rest assured that it will prepare food easily and in a cost-effective way.

One other thing to note is that most instant pots come in assembled parts. This means that it will be easier to take it apart and clean it after use.
