Earlier this month we celebrated our one year “nomadversary.” I can’t believe it has been a year. The time has gone by so quickly and we have loved every minute of it. No regrets! When we started this adventure we said 1-2 years, but 1 year in and plans are already being made for summer of 2016. We have no plans to come off the road any time soon.

This week I have been looking at the blog and am sadened by how little I have documented our adventures the last year. I have many blog post written and hanging out in the drafts folder, waiting to be “perfected” before I post them, and many of our adventures have gone undocumented. I know that one day I will look back on this and be heartbroken that I didn’t do a better job of documenting our travels and memories. Yesterday, I was talking with Whitney from DrivingDownADream about my failure to keep up on my blog, she has some of the same hangups I do about trying to make sure a post is perfect before she puts it out into the world. During our conversation I decided I needed to think of this as my journal. Not some professional blog being read by countless, unknown followers, but rather the story of our great adventure, for my kids to read when they are older. A record to refer back to, that refreshes our memories as they fade over time.

As this is our 1 year anniversary post… here is a recap of some of our adventures before I forget.
